Salad

OK! I am super excited to have gotten through my 10th work out in the challenge. Today was a definite challenging b/c it was hotter in the building then outside and I was sweating during the "grapevine right" (that's how we start our warm ups, ha ha). It was good though. We did an awesome cardio routine and a lot of ab work. I was a little concerned at the start of the week as I gained 2lbs over the weekend. On this challenge we are not allowed to gain any weight for any reason. So, that means watch the salt, the fats, the sugar, the carbs, the alcohol, and anything else that may be bad for the hips and heart.

My cheat/treat, however you want to call it, did me in! I ate enough salads last week to make a rabbit sick and i wanted a sandwich and chips so I had it! I love bread and salt and I know that I need to watch it b/c it never fails -I gain when I eat them. I also had a grilled chicken sandwich from McDonald's and that was salty. I am back to my Saturday weight but its Wednesday and I know I lost three days of progress. Think about it, I worked hard three days to lose the weight I gained from the weekend. Plus, now I got to try to lose more for Saturday. I have to find a better system, clearly, I am working too hard to stay afloat. Dr. Oz said that if you work out and eat right the weight should come off effortlessly. I don't like that word "effortlessly" it is a major battle everyday, for me anyway, to make good food choices. I was with my clients in Wendy's today and 'bout ran them over to get out of the store without a Baconator!!! But I know the longer you do it the easier it gets.

My favorite example was 1997 when I spent a summer in Tobago. It is too hot there to eat chocolate anywhere other then in the air conditioned store where you buy it. And if you know me you know I attempted to buy chocolate daily until I got sick of ruining my clothes and cutting my mouth on the wrappers trying to get my moneys worth of melted chocolaty goodness. I tell this story to remind myself that from the summer of 1997 to the winter of 1998 I was off chocolate. It didn't appeal to me. I know that if I just try hard enough and remove the unhealthy items from my diet for long enough, they wont appeal to me either. I'm gonna work on that one.

Well, with that being said I need to go make a salad, ha ha ha
